Healthy Gay Nottingham (HGN) works to promote the health and
well-being of gay and bisexual men in Nottingham

Welcome to anyone who has not visited our site before and a big welcome back to those of you who have. It’s almost a year since the website was launched at Nottingham Pride July 2007.

At long last we have updated the site and made some changes.

You will now find two new features – the news page and the gallery.

The News Page is where you will find all the latest updates as to what we are doing and any significant information, which may prove valuable. This will include any warnings regarding concerns relating to crime or if the police are receiving any complaints regarding local cruising areas or cottages.

With this in mind if you are a victim of crime, the police should no matter where or under what circumstance, be interested in the crime and not what you were up to at the time. If your experience is different to this or if you feel uncomfortable in dealing with the police directly then we are happy to support you through the process. If you just want to pass on some details without disclosing your name etc. Then you can email us at healthygaynottingham@nottinghamcity-pct.nhs.uk and we will pass on the information to the Police Hate Crime Team.

The Police Hate Crime Team consists of 2 officers who are headquarters based and are specially trained to understand the concerns you may have in reporting the incident. The team will work with the local police to address your concerns.
They are aware of the sensitivity required to deal with situations when the victim may not be out, or there are other factors at play.

If you have any news you feel might be of interest please do email it on to us. For what’s happening locally also look out for QB available from all good outlets (ok not WHSmiths etc.).

We are a free and confidential service.
